According to my dad my love of animals started when I was 6 years old, when I wanted to take care of every stray dog I saw on the street and make sure they had a good home. From there, my love never died.

I truly see it as a gift from God.

Since 2012, I've been blessed to provide care for animals. After graduating Valdosta State university with a bachelors degree in pre-veterinary medicine, I worked for Banfield pet hospital for 4 years as a veterinary assistant up under brilliant minds who showed me the medical training that I needed. There is also where I met my amazing business partner, Tiara.

After Banfield, I took my knowledge to Best friends pet care, a nation wide grooming, training, and boarding facility. I worked as the assistant manager for 1 year and was then promoted to a center manager, controlling an entire center for a year. After deciding I wanted to take my skillset elsewhere I was led to the Atlanta Humane society where I was the adoption and animal welfare manager for 4 life changing years. Working at that shelter, changed my life, my views, and fueled my compassion for animals even more.

During this time everything that I've learned has been carried into Georgia Pet Nanny. The passion, the skill, the patience, and understanding of animals. And I'm blessed to continue to learn and grow more and more.

When I'm not caring for other fur babies, I'm spoiling my two Shih Tzu's Coco Chanel & Christian Dior.

Tiara

Hi! My journey in the pet care industry started back in 1996  when my next door neighbor asked me to check on his cat while him and his family was on vacation. Who would have known I would later make it into my career almost 20 years later.

I knew from a young age that I wanted to work with animals.  That passion has led me to completing my B.S. in Veterinary Technology at Fort Valley State University in 2009. Later in the same year I became a Registered Veterinary Technician.  Majority of my career has been working in small animal veterinary hospitals. I also have experience in orthopedics, dermatology and shelter medicine.

When I'm not caring for others' fur babies, I'm caring for my own fur baby Kya. She is 13 years old and has been with me since the very beginning of my veterinary career. I enjoy reading, singing karaoke, spending time at the beach or walking in the park and roller skating. Currently, I'm in school working on my Dog Training Certification. So be on the look out for the addition of dog training services by the end of Spring 2023!!
